The forthcoming single-player horror-adventure game, 'A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead', is already generating a substantial amount of interest among horror aficionados following an announcement just a month ago. Developer Stormind Games and publisher Saber Interactive have further fueled this intrigue by launching an additional 10-minute raw gameplay clip via IGN.
Based in the same eerie universe as the terrifying science-fiction films, 'A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead' necessitates players to navigate past deadly, sound-sensitive, sightless aliens discreetly. The gameplay hinges considerably on stealth and noise management to avoid attracting these lethal creatures. Thus, navigating around discarded cans or shattered glass without causing a racket forms an essential part of the game.
The game's main character, Alex, suffers from asthma, which adds another layer of difficulty. Ensuring Alex maintains her respiratory condition during actions like clambering over obstacles or suppressing her breath will be crucial. Players will often need to hold their breath, particularly while they are near the aliens. However, medication or inhalers for instant recovery are attainable.
The gameplay also involves managing batteries for a flashlight to light up dark areas, although there will be no room for combat in the game.
Scheduled for release later this year, 'A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead' will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
